For students

Join a club to enhance your experience beyond the classroom, connect with peers, and access opportunities across tech, data, and engineering.

  • CISSA (Computing and Information Systems Students Association)
    Hosts regular social, industry, and networking events, as well as an annual hackathon. It is the go-to society for connecting with the broader CIS community.
  • UMCPC (University of Melbourne Competitive Programming Club)
    Runs workshops on algorithms, data structures, and coding techniques. They organise friendly competitions where you can hone your problem-solving skills in an exciting environment.
  • WIT (Women in Tech)
    A student-run society aiming to build community and provide support for female and gender-diverse students. They organise industry-related opportunities and networking events for those undertaking IT-related studies.
  • WISE (Women in Science and Engineering)
    Dedicated to inspiring female and non-binary students in science and engineering. They hold a wide range of events to connect students with their respective industries.
  • DS Cubed (Data Science Student Society)
    Supports students across all Data Science courses on their journey to becoming world-class data scientists, offering academic support and career networking.
